Video Gait Analysis at PT. 7 min warmup outside, then 10 on the treadmill. She took video from side, and behind, analyzed. No major problems. Left hip may be slightly too high on steps (or low? can't remember). says my footstrike is spot on midfoot, and overall (ahem) "that is about as perfect of a stride as you can have". So, it seems unlikely that there is a running style problem causing my calf problems. still unclear what the cause is, but one possibility is now off the table.
