Mac forest - Downhill relay practice. Harder 1st control off path (KNOW WHEN EXIT PATH AT ALL TIMES AND LOOK BOTH SIDES NOT JUST ONE LEAVING ON!) then contouring so little hesitant but kept height and ticked off ridge/valleys (CONTOURING ACROSS SLOPE VERY DIFFICULT TO KEEP HEIGHT AND EVEN MORE SO TO DELIBERATELY DROP/CLIMB THE RIGHT AMOUNT WHILE ALSO COUNTING VALLEYS), again no. 2 was a hard contouring leg and everyone else dropped too low and although i realised i needed to keep height exactly i was pulled down maybe 10m and had to climb into control, next few fast and smooth just plan and execute only hesitating into cirle on last control as form lines a little unclear.

Mac forest - Downhill relay race practice. Lazy start could have done number of more complicated routes which would have been faster but stayed safe, 3 bit hesitant and slow in the circle as had to be pulled 90 degrees left by jonny (NOTE WHEN CONTROL DEMANDS A VERY TIGHT 90 DEGREE TURN AND MAKE SURE YOU GO THROUGH WITH IT! ESP. RELEVANT TO MIDDLE AND MAYBE RELAY WHERE OTHERS PULL OFF IN GAFFLING!), 4 needed a sensible route but i took a maverick one (DON'T TAKE RISKS WITH HORRIBLE AREAS IF EASIER ROUTE AVAILABLE - MAY NOT BE FASTEST BUT YOU WONT BE SLOWEST) and then didn't stick with it (LOVE YOUR ROUTE ONCE STARTED!), last control bit off line and jonny beat me into it (KNOW LAST CONTROL OF A RELAY IN ADVANCE AND SPIKE IT TO GIVE YOURSELF THE BEST POSSIBLE CHANCE!).

Mac forest - Middle distance race. Steady start as uphll so time to look at map (MAKE FULL USE OF CLIMBS ESP. AT START TO READ MAP AND LOOK FAR AHEAD TO DIFFICULT ROUTES, AREAS NEEDING PLANNED IN ADVANCE AND IF TIME PICKING OUT RELEVANT SKILLS TO FOCUS ON EACH CONTROL E.G. CONTOUING, AIMING OFF ECT., ALSO DOUBLE BENIFIT OF NOT USING UP LEG STRENGTH AT START WHERE WALKING MIGHT BE JUST AS FAST) Compass esential through next few but not always used to full (USE COMPASS WELL THROUGH TIGHT TURNING CONTROLS ESP. IN MIDDLE!), again steep slopes slow here (VERY STEEP SLOPES SLOW!), path and in on 10 (PATH AND IN OFF GOOD ATTACK POINT IS A SAFE A ND FAST STRATERGY) aiming off and nice handrails on next few to keep smoot (REENTRANTS SMOOTHER HANDRAILS THAN SPURS AND HARDER TO GO WRONG!) didn't take path route choice all the way to 15 as i just didn't see it (LOOK FOR PATH ROUTES ALWAYS INCASE HIDDEN OR MAYBE GO BEYOND CONTROL BUT STILL GOOD ATTACK!)

Mac foest - Downhill relay race practice. Nice part of the map so really enjoyed it but maybe letting running get ahead of me a bit which is easy on the downhill sections (MAKE SURE STILL READYING WHEN DECENDING FAST, BE DISCIPLINED!) and at times i maybe didn't take the fastest route becasue of that (ROUTES DOWN SLOPES LOOK FOR A RUNNABLE DOWNHILL AS STEEP CAN BE ALMOST IMPASSIBLE OR WALK!), no. 5 a bit hesitant in circle as was a bit ahead of self and not noticing detail in circle so surprised when got into (DETAIL IN CIRCLE ESSENTIAL ESP WHEN CONTOURS OR OTHER VISIBLE STUFF AS CAN BUILD UP MENTAL PICTURE/VISUALISATION WHICH SAVES A LOT OF TIME!).
