Much better race today.I could not fall asleep last night for some reason - getting old??? Started OK with easiest/longer route choice to N1 which proved to be OK. Route choice to 2 was wrong!!! I lost 5 mins there according to splits. I decided to traverse but had way too long route and ended up too high. While I was running to N3 I saw control 13, then I saw another control which I knew was not mine but still decided to check - it costed me 30 secs I think. Obviously mine was further down where it was supposed to be. A few wobbles here and there but nothing major. 14th control was a lucky find because it could turn into disaster. I decided to run along the gully and the just ran up into it. Running along the gully I saw fairly big rock which did confuse me! There was a rock in the parallel gully but not in mine! I thought I ran in the wrong gully and just decided to go up because control still should be somewhere up north... To my surprise, I hit a big rock - which was just 50 meters east of my control. Well, it looks like the rock in the gully was not mapped. Peter Annets caught me at n14 and then we ran in parallel. I was running OK and could keep up with his pace. The rest of the course was pretty easy and I was able to run fast. I even beat Hanny Allston in the last two splits!
