Road running warm up/down 28:00 [2] 3.5 mi (8:00 / mi) +50m 7:40 / mi

Long warm up run, strides and stretches to try and help the hip. It started to tighten up when I ran faster

Hill running race 32:46 [5] 4.3 mi (7:37 / mi) +480m 5:39 / mi
(injured)

First leg on the relay. Tight hip straight away but bearable. Was cruising at the front with the top Italian and Mitja from Slovenia. Become more and more painful so once we got on the flatter track to the high point I was losing ground. Stride was restricted and very painful but I was hoping to downhill would stretch it out. Got to the top in 3rd then the descent ruined me and I had to hobble the last mile and lost around 6 places.

In Morbegno, Italy for the Trofeo Vanoni relay. Easy run with the team on the course and on some other bits of the forest. Hip tight after first few hundred metres, tried to stretch it but didn't seem to help. Loosened off in the last few flatter miles

Two climbs of Scolty

4 x 400m uphill, 4 x 450ish on flat road. Recovery jog of around 60-90s

Crathes loop with a slight extension with the head torch. Lots of mud and puddles

Trail running 50:01 [3] 7.21 mi (6:56 / mi) +130m 6:34 / mi

Round Corsee, Brathens and back through the golf course. Completely dark and clocks go back soon so losing even more light. Legs moving pretty well and feeling fit

A few climbs of Caputh hill. Very soggy underfoot and humid. Legs feeling good and climbing strongly

Twice up Scolty plus some strides in the park on the way home. Still going well, plenty energy
