Metro League final at Cattai Scout camp

Interesting course - most controls were in the rock. A lot of people lost a lot of time at #1 adjusting to the mapping, I was a bit lucky there. Thought that the long round route was best for #2 and overtook Matt Hill (I thought), but apparently Daniel Hill caught me 2 minutes by #2... Combination of running too slow and not taking a couple of shortcuts.

From then on Dan and I pretty much had a running battle, he was definitely running faster than me today, but every now and then I would pop up from a route choice to find myself ahead.

Big Foot won - 5th title in a row :)

Greg did about 40 minutes for fastest on course.

Got a 2" screw stuck in my tyre on the way home :(
Had to turn it to get it out. Fortunately effected a first time repair in about 7 minutes.

Ferndale track to LCNP, then Fairylands to Blackman Park and home the fairly short way. Quads and hammys quite tired.

To work - felt pretty good, achilles not too bad despite getting a recent workout.

Can't fix my GPS to my watch at the moment (both are a bit broken), so I'm tying it to my (rock and Run) bumbag. The extra wobble is definitely boosting my mileage. How much extra fitness will that translate to ?
