orienteering race 1:13:14 [3] **** 9.5 km (7:43 / km) +260m 6:47 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 (#3)

QB3, Day 2 M40.

Brilliant area and good courses - using a lot of the JWOC map I hadn't been on before.

A very clean run up to #10. I thought I left the control the right way but must have run N instead of W, maybe following red line from 6>7 ? Anyway quickly realised I had lost contact, but took an eternity to relocate, lst about 8 minutes :(

After that I was a little bit scrappy, but still enjoyed the run - almost as good as the tin mining at St Helens.

Event: QBIII

orienteering race 14:29 [4] 2.7 km (5:22 / km) +50m 4:55 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 (#3)

QB3 day 1 - Sprint

Great little bush sprint area, Brummagen creek - loads of weird earth shapes, probably flood deposits and erosion from nearby Macquarie River.

Pretty clean run map was odd at 6/7/8, so I hit 8 very soon after 7, and spent the rest of the course wondering if I had mispunched at 6.. then I did mispunch the last control. Dumb.

Had the makings of a very bad day - 400km drive, busted or seeding (3 points doubled to 6 because its a long weekend), and to to it off Lyra decided she had her tummy bug back in the evening - will we just get in the car tomorrow and drive 6 hous home ?

run 1:15:47 [3] 12.27 km (6:11 / km) +338m 5:26 / km
shoes: Asics GT 1000 #2

Nice cool morning for a run, no dogs, wolves or drop bears savaged me.

All good - right achilles a bit niggly this week, but it seems OK running.

cycling (commute) 50:00 [3] 16.0 km (3:08 / km)

Seemed to take forever to get through the lights in N Sydney today.
Pretty mild again, I expect Brooner is riding around topless.
