swim 27:00 [2] 1.25 km (21:36 / km)
shoes: bare feet

Just checked on the names of these rocks from last year - reverse of last year to exploit the tide.

So out to Cathyisawesome rock, which I could get up today as it was high tide, then over to Brendan rock with Sue (Lyra's BFFs mum).

orienteering race 17:39 [3] 3.0 km (5:53 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 (#3)

SprintO Callan Park.

Nice course, but disapointed in myself - approaching 8, which was a left or right round buildings type control, I went left inadvertently, then on the final approach let myself be put off by another competitor saying that it was someone's back yard and an uncrossable fence...etc. In the current climate of DQ fear penetrating the SprintO scene, we all backed out and ran back around the other way.

It looks like it was a bad call by her (and all us sheep).

Aprt from that, one 15 second mistake when I dropped a few contours for no good reason and had to get them back.

(Thx to Jayne for the lift home - hope you got petrol)

swim 15:00 [3] 0.6 km (25:00 / km)
shoes: bare feet

At the Basin, swim out to the big rock on the S side and back.
6 AM

cycling 2:40:45 [3] 67.8 km (2:22 / km)

Riding out to Palm beach. Did usual Akuna loop then back down McCarrs and up Barrenjoey.

Wet - light rain or drizzle most of the way.

run 44:10 [3] 7.0 km (6:19 / km) +150m 5:42 / km
shoes: Asics GT 1000 #2

Shoes looking good for 1000km, but smelling of ..... dog poo. Must have got it in N Sydney. Why can everyone keep rabbits (or quolls)

cycling 50:00 [3] 15.38 km (3:15 / km) +110m 3:08 / km

I think my photo-chromatic cycling glasses no longer go dark...

cycling 30:00 [3] 12.0 km (2:30 / km)

To/from soccer

soccer 26:00 [3] 4.0 km (6:30 / km)

Semi-final (Australian nomenclature).
Still missing El Costa.

We went up early - I got onto a ball played across the goal and scored left footed - two goals in two seasons, both left footed.
They scored back pretty quickly when I slipped over landed on my bum and the 2 on 1 turned into 2 on 0 (well, keeper).

1-1 draw, we go through apparently.
9 AM

run 1:35:24 [3] 15.35 km (6:13 / km) +263m 5:43 / km
shoes: Asics GT 1000 #2

Forgot how long this was [retrospective note - looks like I previously cut out leg from Blackman to Carisbrook]. Nice tempo early - either watch is now in sync with the real world, it copes better with the more open nature of these tracks or (most likely) I was running a lot faster because the tracks are much faster.

Getting tired by Blackman Park and worried about backing up to ride to soccer and play, so was dismayed to fins that I had to run a lap of the park to get around the construction site.

Note
(rest day)

Couldn't make myself run to work, so I walked there, hoping to boost my total for the family pedometer challenge. I ended up with just over 13.9k for the day, but was only just ahead of Lyra who had XC training (running round the tennis court).
