weight:73kg shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 (#4 - blue)

Not primed for this - en route to beach with family, spend 10 minutes in q instead of warming up.
Just didn't go hard enough and screwed up the split-level controls - I think that planner could have used the overprint facility or line-breaking to make this a bit less pot-luck.
Good fun though.

Beach was nice.

Reverse Akuna attempt

Forgot glasses (went back) and tools (oops)

Waited 3 minutes until 6.55, then went solo, saw O'ing coming up to West Head so turned around and rode up with him (he had tools).

Highlight: Found mini-Mars bar just after catching O'ing
Low-light: Guy from NSCC vomiting a fountain of chunder right in front of me coming down from West Head junction. It covers quite a lot of air at 50 clicks.

Felt sprightly on the hills, looking forward to a competitive O hit-out to test the new power-weight ratio.

Flat Rock route to/from work. So nice to be riding in the dry.

cycling 55:00 [3] 17.0 km (3:14 / km) +100m 3:09 / km

To/from work. Soaked yet again on the way in, but wind got up in the day and it was a dry and sunny ride home.

shoes: Inov8 X-Talon 212 (#4 - blue)

Early morning.
Plenty of rain and no sign of it stopping, so clothing choice was hard. Cap (ggod idea), talons (less sponge like), old merino T (just in case it got cold) and Alexa's riding waterproof (too hot).

Some exciting creek crossings. Felt pretty good but just cruised.

48" to turn-off to Delhi Road in Fairylands, so that would be a 55" run to work if we move there, and 40" the other way.

cycling 55:00 [3] 17.0 km (3:14 / km) +100m 3:09 / km

Wery wet wide home, in a bit of a shower gap on the way in.

I don't think the water got to hub point at any point, but it was certainly over 6" in a few spots and all of the stormwater systems looked like grade 6 paddles.

There's a (fairly affluent) street I ride along coming out of Flat Rock which has a 90 degree RH bend in it. I was so busy looking at the throw out piles this morning I almost missed the turn. Which would have been bad - grass and trees and a steep 20m slope.

run 51:26 [3] 8.0 km (6:26 / km) +234m 5:36 / km
shoes: Asics GT 1000 #3

Thought I'd get out between the the rain to the N and the rain to the S shown on the radar, but it took me a while to get going and I got about 2km rain-free.

Felt good, almost niggle free.
