C25k run, calves still tight. Foot felt ok, not great, but not terribly painful, either.

For something fun and new (well, old) my foot decided to cooperate and not hurt today, so instead I could go back to bemoaning my stupidly tight calves. Hooray? In all seriousness, though, this was a good outing for me at Mason Neck. Weather was perfect, and I managed not to make any of the giant wander-aimlessly-in-vague-directions mistakes that I historically have here. Not moving fast, because I'm out of shape, but steady enough, and maintained pretty good focus, except when I saw other people having trouble, then I started to second guess my own plan. I should know better.

Map run never detected the start, and there doesn't seem to be a way to start it manually, so my track didn't start until I switched over to normal running mode at control 1. Seems like there should be a relatively easy way to fix that, as it already automatically senses the finish, but asks if you want to keep going, I assume it's in case you pass close enough to the finish during your course to accidentally trigger it. There's probably also a way to manually start if I had my phone with me, but I rather like not having to bring a phone, since I'm lucky enough to have access to one of the gucci-er Garmin models.
