Sprint 2, kinda used the same course with different controls.
The map was blown up from all the previous meets, because this was a sprint relay.

XC-Skiing race 23:13 intensity: (2:01 @1) + (19:31 @2) + (1:41 @3) 1.83 mi (12:41 / mi) +26m 12:09 / mi

Mass start Sprint 1. Slow start, but fun course, until I saw this crazy down hill with traffic and a sharp ditch at the bottom, so I took off my skis and took at least a minute trying to get them back on. Forked courses of course.

World Masters Long Champs and US Champs.
Well my New age group is treating me well as I took 1st in US and 7 th again in the Masters.
Mane not the best route from the north part to the finish controls, but good enough. There was some serious skinny trail skiing that was tough going up but fun to navaigate in. I took the longer safe route back to the finish controls.
The Finn’s dominated my course all week.
Loooking forward to starting foot O next weekend.

XC-Skiing 50:29 intensity: (2 @0) + (3:40 @1) + (34:28 @2) + (11:11 @3) + (1:05 @4) + (3 @5) 4.87 mi (10:22 / mi) +26m 10:12 / mi
ahr:112 max:157

After the meet we went skiing on this huge skinny lake that was groomed and not embargoed. We still have a relay race tomorrow.

Went down the road to ski at the south end of Craftsbury trails. Out of embargo area of course.
Not feeling too good going up hill and sure as a bear shits in the woods I have afib. Missed a good ski in fresh snow that was groomed this morning. Hoping to recover for tomorrow.

Whew, Ski O Middle Distance World Masters and one day US Champs. I finished 7 th in the Masters and first in the US in my new age group M-65.
After yesterday’s disaster I vowed to read the map and take my time.
Without getting our maps back yet, I think it was the 2 nd or 5 th control I messed up. The small made trails used to get controls were thin of snow and about 3-4 times I took my skis off and ran with them. Only once for maybe 100 meters. The small trails were a bit crazy and dangerous at times.
But I hung in there and finished with no broken equipment or bones.

XC-Skiing race 57:00 [5] *** 3.0 km (19:00 / km)

Ski Middle Distance. Well I forgot to get my watch going.
I was doing good until I got lost on no5 after 10-15 minutes I got on track and near the end was messing up again on the small trails. Ended up MP for the meet. Not sure where I missed, but until I talk to someone or the spilts come out I don’t have a clue where I actually missed. We were using air epunch. First time for me with that.
Will update when I learn where I went wrong.

Ski O model event. Need more snow here by a long shot. Model on some skinny trails with little snow. Did I say skinny trails. Need good turning skills and SISU to get through this. Also trying out the new Air punch.

Waterville, New Hamphsire, Nordic center.
JP and I skied there today. Lots of trails, not everything open, spring skiing for sure. Skied up 3.5k trail up hill and the down took only 4 minutes.
It had some super fast sections and some groomed ice in sections, but nothing you could not get through. Very nice going somewhere new to ski.
Heading to Craftsbury tomorrow.
