Fast and fun!

Running 56:00 [3] 8.4 km (6:40 / km)
shoes: Montrail light racers

Run at the recplex today due to cold snow and nasty wind. Also wanted a solid surface so not to twist my ankle and i also wore an ankle brace. This is one of the first time I had real issues with an ankle ever!

Running 29:18 intensity: (6 @0) + (4 @1) + (35 @2) + (15:58 @3) + (1:00 @4) + (11:35 @5) 2.75 mi (10:39 / mi) +29m 10:19 / mi

Run at Bristol Woods

Running 27:12 intensity: (7 @3) + (10 @4) + (26:55 @5) 2.72 mi (10:00 / mi) +32m 9:39 / mi
ahr:166 max:180 shoes: Scarpa Spin

Ran this as a tempo run, exact route backwards so I knocked off 2 minutes from the warmup run and I actually felt good!!
But with 100 meters left I stepped on a stick and twisted my upper ankle issue. That really sucked and now will plan to wear an ankle brace for a while.

Well when you partner with a 40 year old, expect to be pushed beyond my capabilities . So he actually picked up a few controls that I don’t get too. I guess that’s what teamwork is all about. The maps were 1:24000. Copies of USGS I assume. Any way, the navagation was not that hard, just the effort getting there and good planning. We got there late and Maricel had the basic plan down, and who am I to argue.
I think after 4 hours is my better physical limit. Leg issue held up with my carefull foot placement.
There were some serious hills to climb. But overall another great workout.
