New map and pretty technical. I made some serious mistakes going to 10 and way off on 15. Oxygen lacking to the brain I suppose.

One Cowboy Relay.
Another fantastic event put on by Swampfox. 5 maps the first 4 were motaola style and the last map was the one that showed you where you were at against the comp.

As usual I was off on the very first control by one reentrant, but recovered, my second map I lost like 5 minutes on the first control loop B.
Had a number of repeat controls, but you still had to get to them.

On the last loop, from 2-3 I went pretty straight to it and passed 3-4 people. Saw Brooke and GT ahead and finally passed them on 6 and 7. Brooke she was flying in the course.
Finished in 17 th overall.
Tomorrow starts the A events.
I cant express how nice it is out here Year after year for the events.
I did give up camping here and sort of miss that aspect but....maybe next time.

Day1 Rickey Mountain Orienteering Festival. Laramie, Wyoming.
Mass start with 75 people. I started out in about 5 th place but soon had to walk and got passed by about 20 people. I had cotton mouth right away and the whole time yuck.
The area seemed super fast and little sage which made runnababilty excellent.
I got my wind back and started picking off some good Orienteers along the way.
This was my hardest workout of the summer.
Yes the hardest, with the altitude, chase, blisters on my toes and lack of real conditioning made this the toughest run of the summer no dought.
Went back to the best Mexican food anywhere at Corona village in town... yum!

Hike up in James Peak Wilderness.
Super windy day especially near the pass which we didn’t go over.
I was pretty tired after my first day at altitude, so it was very easy hike.

Chicago City O Meet.
It became hot as the hours wore on. I and 2 adventure racers were on the same route. They ended up leaving me and we kept running into each other.
We actually had controls that you had an answer sheet. Makes control pickup easy.
I was running out of steam near the end and gave up a lot of controls.
Still covered 18 city miles.
Overall not as many miles as in the the past.
Fun time except I was by myself and no one really doing it together.
Could of used an extra set of eyes as I missed a trail to an area and I ended up going long around.
The gps route looks pretty screwed up, but it’s close.
