Orienteering race 35:22 [4] 4.0 km (8:51 / km)

Buffalo Orienteering Festival @ Hunters Creek Park - Red X

It was nice to run in an A-meet without much traveling, and sleeping in the house I grew up in, just a few miles from the meet site.

I had to start just a bit early, so I could make sure the backup finish system was OK. That made for a lonely run in the woods, although I did see Andrew when I was coming into a control late in the race.

It looks like I have the Red-Y map with me, so more later.

Note
(rest day)

Planned on a swim during lunch, but there was no lunch...

Running 22:30 [3] 3.0 mi (7:30 / mi)

Various running around during track practice. Sufficient to log, since I ran during their warm-up, then did some hard runs on the infield while timing.

It was just the six distance guys not competing in the JV meet tomorrow, so they did the "fun" 4-minute mile workout. Most impressive was Vanzo, arriving late and finishing the last half of the workout on his own. AJ's 3:47, which included 2x400 was very quick.

Swimming 36:00 [3] 1.02 mi (35:17 / mi)
slept:6.0

8:10
1:30,29,30,29,28 (on 2)
3:20,24

The total time is an estimate, since I have not been able to replace the watch battery yet. Definitely felt smoother in the water today.

Running 26:45 [2] 3.24 mi (8:15 / mi)
slept:5.75 weight:162lbs

Saw some of Luke's baseball game, then went for a run from the PLL fields. Did a short loop in the Town Hall woods, then a longer loop thru Hundred Acre Swamp and back via the road from the Meadow, included some (5?) 1-minute pick-ups (~170 strides).
