Didn't want to do anything that would aggravate last night's injury before this weekend's rogaine.

Orienteering 1:00:10 intensity: (6:16 @1) + (21:45 @2) + (16:36 @3) + (11:43 @4) + (3:50 @5) 3.24 mi (18:34 / mi) +154m 16:11 / mi

ROC Score-O at Powder Mills Park
Lousy start as I was too busy looking at the map on the way to the first (easy) control to notice that the creek wasn't looking right, so I had to skip it. That came back to bite me at the end as I went to get it, made a 25-second error and went over by 17 seconds.

I was looking at the map to decide which direction to go, so at least I made a good choice to go counter-clockwise and see how far I could get. Then on the second control, I didn't read the clue sheet and climbed needlessly to the field before realizing I had to climb back down to the control.

The next section went well enough, until after getting the one on the N tip of the pond, I foolishly tried to stay high and contour around - lost a lot of time to those that popped out to the road instead.

After skirting the property corner and passing Steve heading into a control along the eastern ridge, I didn't see a downed tree thru the ivy or whatever tangles you up and caught it, stumbled, managed to stay upright but then caught in the ivy and strained my already vulnerable butt/hamstring intersection, so I had to walk for a while. That cut down my endgame options and so I had to skip more than intended, costing me a shot at 3rd place.

Orienteering 16:36 intensity: (17 @0) + (12:54 @1) + (3:21 @2) + (4 @3) 0.68 mi (24:25 / mi) +21m 22:16 / mi

Warm afternoon but I decided to get a longer jog/walk in today. I went 2x(2,3,4,5,5,4,3,2) min jogs with 1 min walk between each. Went to Ellison Wetlands, but took the first exit out of the trails onto Old Westfall, and home via Creek.

Started with a small pull buoy which did not work well, so I switched to the larger one.

I was sore very high on my left hamstring, so I did a lot of pulling on the last 300.

Went for an easy bike ride after work, but easy can only be so easy when you decide to go down Blossom (so up Subway and then up Panorama Trail).
