Was going to go for a long run around noon but then it started raining. Since I was waiting for a delivery I couldn't run to much later. By then I was tired, ready for nap and didn't want to run at all. Forced myself to still go out for an easy run.

First game of the new volleyball season.

We are the bottom team and we played the other bottom team. It was a good first match for us. We came out strong and other team made a lot of mistakes. We won the first game. the 2nd game was reverse. We made lots of mistakes and the other team won easily. the last game was evenly matched until the end when my team fell apart and gave up a lot of points right at the end and lost.
Overall, I didn't play that well. I was rusty and it showed. I was getting better as the night wore on. It was a very hot and humid day and I was sweating a lot.

We played a better team. We had a lot of defense so I moved up to half. I was doing a good job of holding my own but I was too hasty in getting rid of the ball. I should have controlled the ball more.
We were winning most the game but as usual my team fell apart at the end. I was one the side line so couldn't do anything. All the halfs and forwards just stopped running so the defense was flooded over and over again. The other team go three goals at the end of the game to tie it up.
even when the other team lost a player and was playing a man down they were still out running my team on the field. It is very frustrating to have comfortable lead only to watch the team throw it away.

Quantico Board meeting. I had to work late so didn't get a chance to do any exercising. Went straight from work tot he board meeting. It was nice that the board meeting was only 10 minutes from work.

Came home, cut the grass, then went for a run. I think the pepperoni from the pizza wasn't sitting well with me so I wasn't sure how far I was going to get. Managed the do the whole run without any major problems.

Although cooler and less humidity today, I was still feeling the affects from yesterday. I lost motivation to try hard as soon as I cut into the woods. Control 1 was on a non existant sput (in the write spot just no spur there). I went right by it the first time
The map scale was 1:7500 but no one told that ahead of time. I didn't even realize it until told well after the race. I was moving slow so I guess I pace count still matched with the small scale.
#2, I was already tired of the woods so I decided to take the trails the long away around. The problem is that the map wasn't mapped in those part of the map. I went the long way and hit fight not on the map, fences that went arther than mapped, and missing fences entirely. I went right to the control once I got there.
#3. I went around again. The out of bounds was just added and wasn't mapped right but I still ran around it. map said reentrant but there was no reentrant, just a ditch. Stilll no problem finding the control.
Next bunch, just got tired to going through he exact same woods. Walked the uphills and jogged the rest. pretty much went straight for everything.
#7; stopped and helped a kid that was lost.
#14: Pulled up a trail short and went down the wrong one. Had to cut back over through the green.

Felt good so tried to keep a good pace up.
