Orienteering (North American Middle) 33:14 [4] 3.9 km (8:31 / km)
shoes: O icebugs 2015

This was the race I was focusing on. My calf was still a little sore but not enough that it bothered me. It was humid/rainy enough that my glasses fogged up. That did bother me as It was hard to read the map. Overall I was happy with my performance. I didn't feel exactly fast but fairly clean.

shoes: O' Icebuds 2014

Back still sore but didn't affect my run. Except for one mistake I did ok navigationally but was just too tired to run hard. I had to walk more than I should have. I had one of the later starts and the woods were empty.

Strained my back 2 hours before my start. This changed my strategy from run hard to run easy. I ran easy being careful of my back. this took a toll on my thighs as I putting more work on them in order to favor my back.
Running slow may have helped me. I was fairly clean out there if not fast. I was happy with my run.
