at haverigg dunes, had done training there a few years back so felt pretty confident and was looking forward to racing against the girls again!
really good run, good plans, attack points and control flow, losing no more than about 1:30 on the whole course. caught up my 3 and 6 minute runners at #4, but lost about 30s by going to #11 instead, but it was really close so didn't lose too much time. then overshot #5 by 100m, another 20-30s.
got followed by my 3 and 6m runners til about #8 where i got rid of one of them but i just ignored them and navigated well til #11 where i got overconfident as i'd seen the control before. 20s of wandering before the girl following me said "166 IS OVER HERE!" which was really annoying.
she kept on my tail til #14 cause i was a better navigator but she was faster so kept on waiting for me, it was so infuriating! lost her at #15 and smooth running from then til the end, felt really good after a weeks rest! came 2nd :-)
