Squak Mountain backyard hike: I love the deepest green time of the year. The forest is lush, incredibly green, and exploding with life. Of course, I love the PNW anytime of the year, but perhaps not as much in a few weeks when the blackberry vines start to encroach upon the trails. Twisted my left ankle while gawking at the green!
