MTBO 1:54:34 [4]

Started the day by having to draw a course on a blank map as printed versions had been used up. This had consequences later as it proved to be difficult to get the order of controls right, with me heading of to two controls too early on two separate occassions. Control 8 proved to be a challenge for many with a number of land and sea searches in full operation. Too much time lost here. Otherwise a very pleasnt mornings mountain bike riding.

Car for service in Glendalough then pretend commute into West perth then south to Raffles around the river to Freo for a coffee. Then up the coast home. Bom web site confirms that I road into the wind almost all the way. Just as I tuurned north the wind changed from southerly to north easterly. I was done by Scarborough and craweled home from there.

The sea was flat with very small waves. However there were still a whole lot of black seals on boards hoping for that one wave.

It was ment to be an 8am start to ride out for a coffee. A number of heavy showers turned me into a wimpeing wus. So delayed for a few hours and did extra k's. Magic temp. Clouds and occcasional shower providing scenic backdrop along the coastline. Lunch at Mullaloo provided perfect semi-finish
