Day 2, same plan, except that my start is early and i'm not awake yet. Surprisingly, snapped into the map fairly quickly, faster than it typically took me in the past. Taking it nice and easy on 1, second reentrant, no problem, straight on 2, slow in the green, up the reentrant to 3. The best way to 4 was probably to hit the road and attack from behind, a route I didn't see. Went straight, hit the "large" reentrant / depression, was below the boulder clusters and corrected up to the control. 5, another long leg, I decided to shoot for the marshes and follow them until i reach the my hill, attacked from this side yesterday.. Drifted on 6, lost focus, ended up on yest's control location and had to steer left after some confusion. On 7 I went around the green but still got stuck coming down, didn't go far enough to the left, almost missed my reentrant to the control b/c of the green marshy area but realized it quickly and slowly went up and around to the control. A bit right on 8, poor bearing technique. Straightish on 9-13. On 14 I actually made a mistake, which does not show up on AP splits or winsplits, my amazing speed on this leg must have counteracted the time lost.. I followed the stream to the marsh, to the trail, to the marsh, to another trail, "straight" bearing and ended up on a rootstock further and on the right of the control circle, relocated from there but found the small hill knobs a bit confusing, so not as fast as one would like. 15 was a bit strange as I didn't expect the half contours to amount to such large spur. Rest was ok.
Great fun out there again, the green didn't annoy me much, actually enjoyed it at some point.

The plan for this weekend was to take it purely as training, focusing on quality Oing, stride extension, and endurance.

Today I told myself not to run fast and it wasn't a problem, hehe. The woods were slow with limited visibility with great detailed terrain. I quite enjoyed it. The course was interesting, no long legs, which was fine by me.
On route to one off the trail I hesitated a little bit trying to adjust to the mapping style of the green. Number 2 was easy but slow, same with 3. Number 4 was the longest leg, roughly 750 m, I decided I would stay left of the green marsh, hit the trail and attack it from the bend. Mostly succeeded, except for excess deviation to the left. On way to 5 I did not have a plan, figured I'll decide to go around the marsh on the right or left side when I get to it. So when I did, I chose to go right, which was fine and I got the control no problem, being careful in the circle. 6 was fine. On 7 I made an error by stopping short. The green just right of the circle confused the heck out of me, esp. since there were rootstocks down there, maybe they were just fallen trees though. Regardless, I doubted my location but when I saw Andis going confidently, I just followed him into the control, and it was just 50 m slightly up. Took a rough bearing to 8, trying to hit the large depression, no problem. For some unknown reason, for which I cursed myself later, I ascended 2 contours to the left and had to go back down to the control, when I should have went around the head of the little cliff man. No biggie though, 10 was easy, 11 I wanted to go straight but veered slightly right. The boulders stopped me and I attacked the control from them. 12 was Ok until I was in the control circle, got confused by the green rootstock area, figured I should see the boulders when I pass it but didn't see them right away. Was quite tired already so just finishing up w/o much thought. Fun time out there!
