Note

So I've been getting up in the morning with arch pain, a clear symptom of plantar fasciitis. Will experiment with different sneakers...

Orienteering 1:23:17 [3] 7.66 km (10:52 / km) +302m 9:05 / km

Blue Mtn red course on a lovely sunny day. This one gave in with resistance and felt tougher mentally, more than usual. I was distracted by arch and stomach pains and lacked focus, which caused me to execute my routes with less precision than I would have liked on this map. I also didn't have much motivation to run harder.
Lost to Balter but prevailed over Peter.

Running warm up/down 17:23 intensity: (12 @0) + (20 @1) + (2:45 @2) + (14:06 @3) 2.76 km (6:17 / km) +50m 5:46 / km

hot and humid out, taking some time for legs to move.

Running tempo 24:57 intensity: (5 @0) + (10 @1) + (4 @2) + (9 @3) + (16:18 @4) + (8:11 @5) 4.91 km (5:05 / km) +71m 4:45 / km
ahr:163 max:169

Decided to switch up my usual tempo run to a xc 5 km course at morris plains. These happen every wed, nice course, two loops. It was great running with other people, so much easier mentally. I paced myself fairly well, at each point throughout the course I knew I could run faster. Hardest part was restrained myself from sprinting to the finish. Legs felt better today.

Running warm up/down 11:43 intensity: (5 @0) + (13 @2) + (6:35 @3) + (4:50 @4) 1.81 km (6:29 / km) +33m 5:56 / km
ahr:151 max:158

at the end of central ave is a psychiatric hospital in a state of deterioration, saw a few police cars patrolling the area for curious souls. I imagine a few teenagers would want to sneak in there..

Running intervals 1:06:47 intensity: (15 @0) + (5:51 @1) + (22:47 @2) + (18:31 @3) + (6:20 @4) + (13:03 @5) 11.01 km (6:04 / km) +17m 6:01 / km

Tuesday track session: 1x400, 3x1200, 1x400 m with 400 m rest in btwn. Light rain felt good but it was still humid and hot. Well, I totally couldn't move today, legs felt heavy and hips tight. I thought I could pick up speed as I went along but nope, just more suffering. Breathing very hard I even channeled Maria Sharapova on the 3rd lap of the 1200's. Don't know what was wrong with me, last week I did the intervals too quick, this week too slow, maybe next week I'll get them right..
