Canoeing (C1 flatwater) 3:52:30 [3] 20.55 mi (11:19 / mi)

Nashua from Groton with Adam and Steve to start, and Karen and Scott in a C2 after an hour. Went downstream investigating some of the oxbows and checking in on the eagles and the suck water. Picked up the C2 at the put in and went upstream to the railroad bridge and back. Felt pretty good all the way to the end.

Met some skiers in canoes and kayaks as we were headed back downstream - Andy and Frank in a C2, Wes, Rob and another guy I don't know in kayaks

Cycling 1:04:00 [3] 15.85 mi (4:02 / mi)

Bikepath to Bedford and back. First time on a bike resembling a road bike in, I dont know, about 30 years? This was a Cannondale Super X cross/gravel bike I have borrowed from a client who hasn't used it in a few years. Trying something different to reduce the impact load on my hips, and straight up road riding isn't my thing. Perhaps a gravel bike with the ability to do a little off road stuff might be good? This was a very flat ride, apart from the very end back up to home, but I need to remind my legs and backside what riding a bike is all about and also remember how to ride a bike outside!
