orienteering race 47:43 [3]

Got to race at an awesome new venue. I could’ve taken 1 minute off of 14 and 4 minutes off of 15. Fairly solid besides all that.

orienteering 37:13 [2] 2.25 mi (16:32 / mi) +56m 15:21 / mi

Memory exercise to challenge mental engagement. With the lack endurance fitness that I've been doing for the last 6 months, the orienteering courses that I've recently done have gone quite slowly. Due to the pace I'll always become bored because navigation becomes incredibly easy, and so I've gotten into a bad habit of not being engaged with the course while moving in between controls. This training was to help me get back into that. I didn't execute it perfectly, but I think it was effective, and I plan to do this exercise again soon.
