Local trails, gravel and paths: Road ride deferral. Too cloudy, too breezy, even a little drizzle:) I decided to wait for next week's sun and 60 degrees.

Grand Ridge RT-Duthie-Soaring Eagle: A tie feels like kissing your sister. On Monday's ride, I tied the Figure-8 KOM. That wasn't satisfying, so today I lowered my time, despite the Garmin telling me I needed 29 more hours of recovery from yesterday's hard ride. I'm tired, but I don't feel like the guy in the photo after three pretty brutal rides (11h/12k climbing) in the last 4 days. Not that my sister isn't attractive, but...

Grand Ridge RT-Duthie-Soaring Eagle: "Go harder" strategy worked today. On Monday's ride, I surprisingly picked up a Strava #2 while not going super hard. I used KOM chasing as motivation to ride the long segment harder today. I felt like I was able to ride quite a bit quicker than Monday, and lowered my time enough to pick up the KOM by a few nanoseconds, at least for now! Temps in the 60's and fantastic trail conditions made for spectacular riding. Despite the difficulty and length of the ride (as well as Monday's), the legs felt pretty darn good for this time of the year.

Grand Ridge RT-Duthie: Season Skipping, Streak Stopping Perfect Day. February yielded 23 days with measurable precipitation at our Issaquah house totaling 8.59", including the last 14 days in a row. There is a chance of an overnight shower, but not until 4 AM or so. The streak is over! Today's 60 degrees, sun, and perfect trail conditions made it feel like we skipped spring and went straight to early summer. Also end of a streak of not riding the RR since 2-12.
