Tuesday Apr 25 #

Heel felt a bit uncomfortable at 4.5 miles, no pain. Ran the last 3 miles at just over a 9 minute pace. Heal felt fine when I stopped. Long run today as tomorrow will probably be a total rest day due to the ice storm that is to come.

36.6 miles last 7 days is a big jump in mileage. Up to 59 for the month. But feel ok.

Easy morning run. 37 degrees with a 25 mph wind from the east. Should be shorts weather by now.

Sunday Apr 23 #

running 51:32 [3] 6.2 mi (8:19 / mi)

Nice run on a poor weather day, 35 degrees and snow/rain mix for part of the run. Ran with Jess, Dan, Kathi, Paul, and Jarrow. Out in 26:44, back in 24:48; wind to our back on the way back. Longest run in a bit. Passed last months mileage with a week to go. Finally, over 400 for the year. Hope to be 1:35 shape by the GB 1/2.

Saturday Apr 22 #

At H'town track: 7:42, 7:29, 7:28, 7:40, 7:30. Just wanted to run sub-8s. Was too fast at this point in my training, but foot ok. Wonderful 60 degree day, but stiff wind out of the east.

40 miles last two weeks. Not much, but it really helps

Easy run on a nice day - about 55 degrees. 13.2 miles the last 3 days - so can complete a half-marathon in 3 days. Have 8 weeks to improve.

Thursday Apr 20 #

Snow/sleet and 34 degrees. Was not going to run but Claudia said, "Hardcore runs in the snow"; shamed me into it. Happy I ran. Try to add a little distance each day - slowly.
