SOL1 - Corranbuie, blue course.
Much better than yesterday, and got on much better with the map. Half a minute lost en-route to #5 when I was reluctant to climb into the saddle and got myself off line and into some rougher stuff. 1 minute lost at #8 where I went to the wrong crag, but mainly because my glasses had got wet and I was just guessing what the map said. 2 minutes lost at #13 where I got into a race with James L and Andy Dale and I got overexcited, got the big knolls wrong and ran a bit too far.
Charlie did 55, Dave R 60. I was third old man and ahead of lots of people who beat me yesterday.

Masterplan middle race - Torinturk. Started ok but not too happy with the map. Wherever there was rock it obscured all the contour detail - #3 and #4 I lost a few seconds on each because you couldn't tell where the hills were. I was reading the leg from #3 to #2 when I should have been going to #5. I punched 2 again before I realised. #5 was only 100m or so away but I ran off carelessly and missed it and had to relocate again before finding it on the 3rd attempt - 3 minutes lost. I was mostly fine for the rest apart from the two rock passage controls near the loch. Both times going into that area I was completely unable to relate any of it to the map. Other people clearly could so after losing 3 or 4 minutes wandering around near 12 I shamelessly followed one of the youngsters into it. I still can't make any sense of it, I don't know how he did. Similar at #16, except I relocated off our number 8 and walked from there, another 3 minutes lost. So all in all about 10 minutes of mistakes :(
Luke Fisher won in 37, Jase did 52, Charlie 55. I was behind lots of other old men and one old woman.

Egglescliffe - Valley Gardens, Bluebell, green, riverbank. Trying to avoid the muddiest bits in fading light. Warm.
