1. 320m 3:19 11 +1:14 59% 66.3 30 10:21   320m 3:19 11 +1:14 59% 10:21 Noticed just before reaching the first control that my map had more than the 15 controls I was supposed to have - picked up the F21 Red map by mistake! Fortunately, I knew that all of the controls on my course were also on the F21 course (Lesson 1: Always compare clue sheets from other courses if you can). Spent about 30 seconds debating whether to return for the correct map (~2 min each way) and confirming that the F21 map did indeed have all of the control points I needed to visit (Lesson 2: Always write control codes on your punch card) . Decided to do the extra mental effort and use the map I had rather than the physical effort of running back for a new one.

4. 340m 4:52 8 +1:23 40% 73.5 14:18   1450m 18:22 9 +6:47 59% 12:40

6. 340m 3:52 6 +1:07 41% 83.0 11:22   2870m 35:32 7 +11:19 47% 12:22

10. 180m 7:57 -- -- -- 0.0 30 -- --   4550m 56:08 -- +15:45 39% 12:20 Went low to the right around the spur and then climbed. Fumbled a bit in the green and checked the reentrant to the south. Missed the split at 9 but don't think I lost more than 30 seconds.
11. 290m 3:06 6 +1:01 49% 74.0 10:41   4840m 59:14 6 +16:46 39% 12:14 Nice herd path along the green right into the control.
12. 280m 4:35 10 +1:52 69% 62.3 30 33 16:22   5120m 1:03:49 6 +18:21 40% 12:27 Went right of the line but climbed a few contours anyway and ended up searching a bit when I got down to the stream.
13. 850m 12:21 6 +4:03 49% 70.9 1:00 14:31   5970m 1:16:10 6 +21:53 40% 12:45 West to trail, to junction and then up stream and along marshes. Momentary brain freeze and started searching before I crossed the trail. A little extra challenging since there was no line connecting these controls on the F21 map.
14. 170m 2:34 9 +59 62% 66.5 20 15:05   6140m 1:18:44 6 +22:39 40% 12:49 Trail to fence, turned right and figured it out when I saw Scott Turner on the other side of the fence going the same direction as me (he had been behind me on the trail).
15. 280m 1:42 9 +31 44% 72.5 6:04   6420m 1:20:26 6 +23:04 40% 12:31 Scott and Greg Balter headed back through the fence - I took a real careful look at the map and smiled at Scott through the fence.
