A little spacy approaching the control, not quite sure where I was, and I think I might have passed just to the south of it, but mised seeing the boulder or control in the undergrowth. Headed uphill, and relocated on large boulder; never saw stone wall on the way up nor the way back down.

Headed out much too far to the left, crossed the trail and contoured, hitting the second trail, and then had to climb back up to where the control was.

It was also facing the wrong direction, but somehow that didn't faze me. Got across, and realized that I had just passed along the edge of the southwestern lake. Duh. Went straight from there, across the river (three steps, shin deep, hard bottom, no problem) and up the hill.
