OK, It's time to get back on to some extent. I've decided to get some kind of base built back up over the winter, and although it probably won't involve any huge days out it will at least ensure I have some level of fitness for the following year if I choose to do an event. My plan is to do a short road run (3-4 miles) most days and occasionally throw in some fell stuff, as and when time allows.

My caveats are these, in keeping with my note from when I cancelled the event for this year:
1. God first - if I feel like I'm focusing too much on running and it's becoming an ego thing or stopping me from concentrating on work then I'll knock it on the head.
2. Family first - No long days out if it means lumping the kids with Rach when she's not really up to it, or taking time away from our relationship.
3. Work first - It can't take time away from site days when I can be earning, and can't mean I compromise on the quality of my office work or start letting things drop.

I am so slow! Very out of shape, and feeling the effects of weight gain and too much booze.
