Had 1/2 bagel and jelly 2 hrs before plus 1.3/4 bagel and jelly earlier in day ( thinking I would run earlier ). Stomach upset during run.

60min easy run. Found it hard to keep consistent pace. Uphill on first 30 minutes and downhill for last 30 min.
Ate 1/4 bagel and jam 30 min b/4 run and scoop of o2 positive by bioR rhythm . Tolerated that well. All other runs this week on empty stomach.

High knee drill more like low knee and skippies more like hurkey jurkies.

4x 15 second strides. After never doing strides, I liked how they prepared me for the tempo. I would thane thought that any effort before a tempo would tire me out but these did not.
20 minute tempo with goal pace at 8:20. I had a hard time keeping pace consistent. The pace seemed to fluctuate between 7:45 and 8:30. It was not a flat course-- slight but consistent uphill for first 11 minutes and then slight but gradual downhill for last 9 minutes. Stamina was good throughout.

9 steep but short (<0.5 mi in length) hills during run. Held pace throughout run but was somewhat fatigued during last 5 minutes. Temp. 77 degrees.
