swim 18:30 [3]

A quick 20 lap swim to prep for Sunday's sprint triathlon at Nockamixon State Park...

bike - wind trainer 1:00:00 [3]

More of le tour, and a moderate spin with fans blowing on me from several sides...

Another hour while watching le tour. It's amazing how fast that time goes when you're watching someone in more pain than yourself!

upped the intensity and cadence during the commercial breaks - made the 5 X 2:40 (give or take) feel like forever!

elliptical 45:00 [3]

Something finally resembling a run - sort of...
level 7
elevation 10 - 15 min; 12 for 15 min; 14 for 10 min; 12 for 5 min.
9246 steps total (205 avg steps per min). Not too bad after such a long break from anything resembling a hill.

Alas - no tour today, so I watched part of 50 first dates, and did intervals during the commercial breaks.

Really need to get back to running.

Note

More yard work, but overall a lazy day. Looks like my run training is going downhill... This week will be somewhat of a taper (though I'm not sure how much more I can taper without turning back into a slug) before the sprint triathlon at Nockamixon on Sunday... Then it's back to the grind for the prep for the half ironman in Vermont at the end of August.

pumped some air into the tires of the wind trainer, and that helped increase the tension a bit... Didn't think I'd be able to keep up with Joel and his buddies on the super hills of the Oley Valley for 3 hours today and didn't want to hold them back.

Watched some of the time trials of le tour...
