Brilliant area nice to run in with some nice contour detail aswell, started off on the first five pretty solid but felt abit slow and stiff from training yesterday. 4 wasnt great as contours were a little confusing and i ended up on the wrong side of a mound. Was suprised to see nathan so early at 6 but this seemed to give me abit extra to keep with him. Nathan got ahead going to 7 as he went low and i went high and saw him head off down the bank to 8, regreted taking the same route as him to 8 as I ended up in the tall nettles but managed to get.out onto the path and finding the control was easy. Followed the line of the fence to 9 and took a path into the re entrant caught nathan up on the hill but wasnt strong enough to get ahead. He took the lead through to the road crossing which were fairly easy controls really.
Through the open to 14 and then fighting through the trees and along the earth bank. 15 was the long leg, slighlty lost my bareings trying to get onto the path, once i got on it, it was straight to the junction where nathan cut in, pretty much straight from here cutting across the open forrest taking it in turns to go ahead trying to force the pace. Hit the control on the earthwall before ours but could see the thicket so headed straight for it. Tough climb up and over to 16 and contoured across to 17 using a path junction to attack from, was a little confused going to 18 as i came across a pond but quickly realised it was the marshy area. Went pretty much straight from here onwards apart from 21 where realised i was on the main path so just carried on down it.
Nathan caught back up at 21 and was a race to the finish.
Pleased with my run and position compared to others.
