orienteering 1:19:00 [3]

First race at Pawtuckaway, and holy macaroni! what a fantastic map!!! the boulders are definitely something else (i find them kinda scary since they're so big) but they're not very good to orienteer off of. unless of course you're standing right beside the one as big as a house. hehe took a bit of a detour to go see that one cause it's a huge dot on the map so i thought that it would be pretty cool. defintely not quite in the competitive spirit, but it was pretty amazing anyways!

orienteering 15:00 [3]

ran to 3 of the canoe-o controls and then paddled back to come in a whopping 23min late!!! yeah!!!!

orienteering 1:40:00 [3]

the wickedest most wet night-o in the whole entire world!! my goodness gracious it rained rain barrels while we were out there, but that just added to the whole amazing experience. got into the lead group when brendan and i caught up to erik after a tree broke his light. ran the rest of the course together with virtually no errors which made me feel a lot safer not being out in the bush all alone. just a tad spooky out there and i didn't want to drown in one of the swamps.

running hills 35:00 [3]

did 8x up the hill though i felt like i took it kinda easy. had a constant 51sec to the top of the hill, but then the lest 2 i got it down to 45 and then 41!!! yeah!!!

strength 15:00 [3]

first real weight fit class... and we learned pretty fast that the teacher loves doing pushups... or atleast making us do pushups!!! holy macaroni!!! we also did some 'fun' ab stuff at the end.

running intervals 27:00 [3]

Got my dad to come out with me which was nice for company and we did 30sec hard 30sec easy. We were both dieing at the end but it feels good now to have it over with.

running warm up/down 20:00 [1]

running intervals 35:00 [4]

brutal intervals as always. had an 800m loop that we did once, with 1min rest, then twice with 1.5min rest. then that set 3 times over with an extra loop added on at the end. soooo hard!!! i started falling behind at the 2loop mark and so by the time i had finished, the other guys already had 30sec of rest. so in order to stay with them, i really only had half of the rest time. but then on the last 2loop set, troy said that i could sit out for the first loop and then join in on the second. which gave me the determination to keep up on that one loop and then the final loop after that. i actually got into the zone and even pushed the pace a little bit. i found the sheer will and strength to keep up and not admit that they had much longer legs than me and could run so much faster. it would've been so easy to just fall behind in defeat... but nope!!! i hung on, and now it feels great!! hooray!!

orienteering 56:00 [5]

Not sure of the actual time, but it consists of the first D leg of the relay where i had a really great race, and then shadowing our A leg runner (which was not much of a cool down run for sure!! he's fast!!) and then final sprint which turned out horribly.

orienteering 1:31:54 [4]

i never knew that it was not uncommon for it to snow in august in the mountains.... it was lots of fun until control 5, where it took me 10min to actually find the control. so then i really cooled down and then it was a run downhill where i fell a bunch of times and then i ran through an icy cold swamp... and so then the rest of the course was just in survival mode. really great map though!! lots of technical stuff which would've been a lot more fun if i could've felt my fingers.

orienteering 37:21 [3]

such a fun night-o!!! i hitched a ride with the elites for the first 2 controls until i just couldn't keep up with them. and then it was me and eric battling it out for most of the course until he made a mistake in the technical building area and i managed to sneak away. teehee.
