orienteering 41:00 [3]

Easter simulation - day 2 middle distance

Didn't have much zip today and it was bloody hot so eased back the throttle and concentrated on navigation, which was good. Snuck in ahead of the Lithuanian No. 1 Evanius Barrius.

running 15:00 [5]

Easter simulation day 1 - sprint

Hammered my guts out for 15 mins en route to work. No navigational errors.

running 25:00 [1]

Warm up and warm down

cycling 25:00 [3]

ride home, via the pub

BTW, Its 730 on Saturday morning and I'm here at work. Again, its not that I'm complaining though.

Note
(rest day)

Nothing today on account I've been here at work for 15 hours so far with more to go. Not that I'm complaining, because that would make me a grumpy old man. In fact I would like to record my appreciation to the Partners here for allowing me to use their office facilities for such extended periods.

First ride of an hour in ages

running 51:00 [3]

Run home in the dark. Went via the Yarra where there was waterski jumping, people doing fancy tricks (you know, where 6 people stand on each other's shoulders and stuff). All with loud music and a frenetic announcer, and watched by a crowd of, roughly, 10 people (11 including me). When the announcer asked people to cheer for which trick team they preferred the silence was deafening.

running 45:00 [3]

To work. Bit sore after last night's workout

cycling 35:00 [3]

Ride home, testing out my new 20watt lights for the first time. They work a treat.

Monday Mar 5, 2007 #

cycling 30:00 [3]

To work. Should have gone longer but watched Allenby self-destruct in the golf.

running 1:15:00 [3]

Up to the tan, did 6*500 with 250 jog in between, then ran home to Kew. Didn't have a watch but can't remember ever feeling so fast through these intervals. Although this probably reflects my faulty memory, rather than awesome speed.

Sunday Mar 4, 2007 #

Kayaking 1:00:00 [3] 7.5 km (8:00 / km)

Up to the gates and return

running 50:00 [3]

Speedy run around the river.
