Yeah!! I'm back in the game baby! Today was my first real hike in a month and I feel great! Kim, Eric and I hiked from the lower lot to the summit of Tiger. We were snowed on the entire time, and there was quite a bit of mud. I took it easy on the downhills so I wouldnt roll my ankle or foot. My new shoes were perfectly stable, although I got some heel blisters.

Upped my weight on many exercises- I will be paying for it tomorrow! Felt kinda sick and not up for any cardio today. I picked up a new pair of shoes and I now I am all pumped to get back on the trail this week.

So yesterday I saw the podiatrist again. He seems to think I have strained my peroneal tendon and that I may have bursitis in my heel (not fasciatis as originally thought) I have been steadily increasing my activities and now I can ramp things up as tolerated. First I am buying new shoes- I will probably pick up some Hardrocks tonight. I find those shoes really stiff but I think that's what I need.

We embarked on an urban odyssey this evening, first walking down the hill to Issaquah, then to run some errands. Including the errands we were gone almost 3 hours. Nice crisp weather out there. No suprise, but my heel is a tad bit sore, nothing too crazy though. I tried jogging but until i get new shoes that is iffy. I wanted to put in some time on my feet to see how they held up.

My current weight is 124.1 and I find it very frustrating. I'm launching an attempt (perhaps ill-fated) to drop down to 120 lbs. According to the one-size-fits-all BMI thing, I could technically weigh 115 and still be healthy. Unfortunately there is no point of reference for athletic people.

Hiked @ Cougar for approx 5 miles. Foot was fine at first but left leg was tight from over-compensating. Towards the end I had some heel pain and slowed down quite a bit. For some reason I was *overly* hungry and somewhat grumpy.

Rode to Redmond on Sammamish trail. Foot was OK but I wanted to stick to someting safe and avoid a hike a bike with crummy Sidi shoes on. Had lunch at Subway then rode the pavement back. Weather was great!

Looks like this has become my injury rehab log rather than a training log. Foot is bugging me again today. Fortunately I see the podiatrist again next week for a follow-up. I don't think I'm going to have much of a season this year. Really though, I don't have any real competitive events planned so I guess it doesn't matter too much.

Off day. L knee know hurts from favoring the R leg. Ugh. Had a bone scan today, will find out of I have a cuboid stress fracture or not.

Now that we're moving to Chicago, I'll have to alter my training (-4 degree temps currently).
