Cockies run from Hackett. I arrived a bit early and rugged up with a thermal top, gloves and a buff to keep my ears warm then went off on a so-called warm up. Back at the cars at 8 to find the OA President wondering if he had the right place. In the next couple of minutes Frogger, Anthony Cox, Acejase, Hoggster, and Reuben all turned up. Headed off towards Majura, and I took the path before the TT track to get a bit ahead. Steady to the gate at the top then back to the head of the pinch to see Frogger and Hoggster on their way up so back to the gate then a shorter back track while the others arrived. A short stop to admire the view then down the road and across to the pines. A very brief attempt at running through the pines but all the thinning work has obliterated all the tracks so back out to the fire trails. Along the main trail at a good pace (for me at least) then up and over HH.

Acejase pulled a face and said his knee didn't want to go up Ainslie and no one else seemed keen so we just headed down the hill a bit and under the power lines for a while. Turned right then joined up with the usual trails that headed back to the cars. I took a diversion for the last 5 mins along the road to just get back before the others.

Breakfast at Deli Marco - was very crowded and I thought we were doomed to sit outside but an outside table was organised inside near the door so all was good. Two mugs of skinny FW and a late, but better than never, cinnamon toast. Joined by Lizzy for breakfast so she could talk IOF politics with Blair.

Nice to catch up with Anthony and hear about life in Paris.

Around Bruce Ridge collecting controls after the Saturday event. Pleased to have missed the downpours and hail from earlier - luckily I was in the tent helping Edith with the entries and finishers at the time.

A DIY session on the spin bikes at Oatley Court. Too bleak and cold to entice me to go for a run so opted for some indoor exercise. Managed to steam up all the windows by myself - 10 mins warm up then alternated 5 mins pace and 5 mins climbing. All the good was probably undone by beer and delicious nibbles with MaryMac at home afterwards.

Run at lunchtime. No real plan so headed south, and not long after I started Tom Walter caught up with me so we ran together - nice to have a chat. Up the bike path to the saddle then had planned to go up Mt Painter but it was closed for roo shooting so we followed the roads around the edge of Cook then down along Coulter Drive. Through Macquarie, past Tom's place so he could pick up a towel, then back to the ABShouse.

Intended to go to FYF but slow getting away from work meant I missed the group and couldn't find them. I had run over from work so kept going for a lap around the outside of Aranda including some detours into the Bushland. Surprisingly warm and just the tiniest sprinkle of rain once or twice.
