Running 42:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-2000

From Rob's place in Brunswick I headed west, crossed the Tulla, then looped around Moonee Ponds race course, and back to Brunswick via the brickworks to check out the appartments built into the old kilns.

Running 53:40 [3]
shoes: asics GT-2160 #2

Run from work over through Black Mt and CSIRO to meet MaryMac at ANU. It was raining and I was soaked by about half way, but not cold so quite pleasant. Dried off, go changed, and had beer and wedges at University House.

RTW but I made the journey a bit longer since my bike was a bit faster

Bike - Road 1:21:30 [3]

From work out to Gininderra Dr then headed towards the city to see if I could find MaryMac on her ride home. Met her at Hayden Dr so we rode home together then I dropped my backpack and went around Mt Rogers and through Fraser then a loop around Dunlop, back along the creek to McKellar then finished off through Evatt. So warm this evening - still 30 degrees when I left home.

Running 52:00 [3]
shoes: Asics GT-2000

Started walking from home with Heather and MaryMac towards Melba ovals. When they turned off I started running. Down to Gininderra Ck then followed it to Lake G, up the eastern edge of Mackellar, swooped repeatedly by a psychotic plover near the soccer stadium, then along the grass beside CSIRO and home.

RTW. First ride on my road bike for ages - nice.

Bike - Road 42:00 [3]

From work to Yarralumla via Scrivner Dam for cross country - it always takes longer than I think and only had about 5 mins spare. Nice head wind the whole way didn't help.

Running race 23:43 [4] 5.2 km (4:34 / km) +60m 4:19 / km
shoes: New Balance 890 v2

First race in the Cross Country Club spring series. I just made it in time to jump off my bike, change my shoes, shorts and top, then register and we were off. No warm up, and more importantly no toilet stop which made most of the run quite unpleasant. The course was two laps of Stirling Park, but all on rough, bumpy grass, or tiny single tracks, plus up and along the ridge line of the hill ie. a proper cross country course. Apparently they used to run this course back in the 90's - don't know why they stopped as it was much better than the ones on bike paths.

I started so slow and took about half a lap to warm up. After that I felt like I kept up a fairly even pace which was good. Lots of people I didn't recognise which is good, and except for MaryMac and Gramps, not many people I did recognise which is bad.
