39c shoes: Walsh PB Ultra

south achray (todays area) was a much harder area today, it looked pretty nice with a huge waterfall in the middle.
Some more training working mainly on compass bearings.
It started raining so there was a small break before the relay.

Orienteering Race (Relay) 8:00 [5] *** 1.3 km (6:09 / km) +40m 5:20 / km
8c shoes: Walsh PB Ultra

We started and everyone charged to the first control. I was one of the first people to get there but we were just shoved out the way by the other people coming. i was the 5th person to punch it and as i saw my two friends running away i sprinted to catch up. As soon as i caught them i tripped up and almost rolled down the hill. Once i caught up and went into first i sprinted even more to loose them to control 3. I got there and looked back and there were 3 people still just behind so once again, i sprinted to get away.After a long time of trying to gain more than five metres it started to get quite hilly, we got to a steep hill and i looked behind and there were still my two friends a few meters behind me. On the last few controls i just held the leadas much as i could and managed to win by about 10 seconds. (quite good as it wasn't gaffled) and anyway, they did follow me most of the way : )

i was really excited about my first weekend away with the scotjos, lots of different exercises and a 2.8km light green course.

Hibs training,
6 laps of the hall warm up getting faster every lap.
A lot of physical training and some skills practice.
We played a lot of matches near the end with some different rules.

An hour of football training. Some sprints, stretches and other things, also a training match at the end.

2 laps of the football pitch after training.

mainly passing and skills for beginners.
not so much running so it was pretty easy
