Orienteering (Exmoor Long O) 3:06:00 [3] 13.0 km (14:18 / km) +500m 12:00 / km
shoes: Addidas Swoop

This was horrible...... I HATE tussocks, let alone man eating ones that are higher than me.....

Bodged up no. 2 royally, being a good 300m further on than I should have been, and I was in the right valley all along... where did my confidence go? So So stupid.

Kinda gave up after that as I could no longer see Duncan, and thought I'd spent hours looking for my control. Turns out I was only 7mins slower on that leg.

Getting to no. 10 was a nightmare, man eating marshes and tussocks, kept falling over too. Actually had a paddy attack and started to cry, but pullled myself together to complete the course.

Rather annoyed to find out that Christine had beaten my by about 6 mins.... and without my bodge and hissy fit (which cost me 4mins!), I would have been up there with her.

Rubbish though, no ladies prizes today.... not fair on Christine.

Dartmoor Long O....

And wasn't it long.... gosh. Actually really really enjoyed myself, until it started to rain and I had to run into the wind on the latter part of the course. I think I actually 'hit the wall' on the way to no. 9 because I wasn't going to no. 9 at all..... more like being dragged along to no.10 by a couple on the long course. Major blip, costing at least 3mins i think. Felt exhausted.....

Caught Christine up by no.4 so it spurred me on to keep moving... and I won a very nice painting for the epic efforts :o) Was lovely watching the horses cantering across the moor.... all very nice.

Until, I get back (and wait for 40mins for Tim) to find someone was being a sore looser and insisted the guy at the manned control dropped the SI unit and it took a whole minute to pick it up again.... so a joint 1st place was given..... talk about a sore looser....! Good way to teach to SWJS about participating is more important than winning..... NOT.

Military Fitness 1:05:00 [3]
shoes: Brooks Trail Shoes

Made myself get up this morning and go to MF.... tough session, but I think it is all doing me good, coz I can't think of any other reason why I should have got a pb last weekend.

Made my shoulder hurt alot though, and my abs were killing!

I was the last into work at 0805....!
