Running (Road) 26:12 [2]
shoes: New Balance 1080 v.2 (Orange)

Out into the cold and along Southey Street and around the flat streets before a looping onto Brandelhow Crescent and turning onto the main road E out of town. Little out and back to the bridge over the Greta before heading up the hill to follow Ambleside Road homewards.
R) Achilles a bit tight and the L) lat hamstring twinged away.

Rowing (Machine) 5:00 [2]

Pretty sore from falling over yesterday but had taken some basic painkillers and just cracked on at work with some physical patients.
This felt fine really.

Stair machine 5:00 [3]
shoes: New Balance 1080 v.2 (Orange)

Went at a good power-walk cadence today.

Elliptical trainer 15:00 [3]
shoes: New Balance 1080 v.2 (Orange)

Middle 5 mins in reverse. feeling a little hard.
8 PM

Cycling (Stationary) 10:00 [3]

Somehow kept dipping below 90 rpm and the HR was 150 so I stopped after 10 mins rather than do the intended 15. Not sure whether the cold is coming back so backing off was ok.

Cycling warm up/down (Stationary) 2:00 [1]

Good stretch-out afterwards.

Running hills (Trail/snow) 1:04:00 [2]
shoes: New Balance MT110

Met Neild, Ben Martin, Sophie, Paul Satterley and some others, that I didn't know, at the lay-by N of Dodd main car-park.
Realised everyone was covered in reflectivity apart from me. I had some flecks on my gloves! Not sure it was necessary for the trails of Dodd nor Ben's fluoro yellow bum-bag worn at the front. It matched his top though...
Trundled along with Neild and went past everyone before we were joined by Sophie and a chemical engineer called Andrew at the front. Did a couple of turn-backs to go to the back once we had hit the hill but once we were on the main track we just pootled off.
Very snowy once a bit higher and the well foot-compacted snow was quite slippery.
Put in a faster bit of running from the fire-road to the summit.
Tried to avoid the ice on the descent by cutting xc but soon had a wipeout nd landed heavily on my R) arse-cheek. It hurt quite a lot, gave me a couple of cuts and my lower back immediately went tight.
Warned the following pack off going onto the icier sections then I took an out n back approach rather than the steeper more direct path that everyone else went down. I didn't want to hit ice on a steeper part! Andrew had already wiped-out a few times.
overtook the back-markers as I got back to the car-park.
Discuss the Band 7 MSK job that Ben had applied for at Keswick before painfully getting back into the car.

Running hills (Snow, uphill) 6:59 [3]
shoes: New Balance MT110

The faster bit to the summit.
Neild said it would take 7 minutes. Such a liar!
And he took several seconds longer.

Climbing (Bouldering) 20:00 [1]

King Kong wall with all the Findlay-Robinsons apart from the original. Dan and wife gave it a go in normal shoes.
Not sure I completed anything I hadn't done before but I re-did some harder ones and got further on the lilac coloured one next to the window (that a couple of old guys crushed last time) involving big rounded holds that took a lot of squeezing. Rhys made it.
Not getting too tired in the gripping muscles or arms today.
