Cycling race 40:00 [5]

Last week I got 12th/50 at cx race, so I busted off the start line with my sights set on a top 10 finish this Saturday.

Mowed as many people down as I could with my HR never dropping below 170. I was in the pain cave, but doing my best to turn my pain cave into a beautiful dark oblivion of teeth grinding persistence.

It worked. I ended up on the Podium, just a few feet away from the win. I've really enjoy cx this year. I'll take it a bit more seriously next year. Still have two weeks left.

Setting and scouting in hyland for the ultimate night-O run ever, until perhaps Pete's run coming up. Should be awesome!

orienteering 50:00 [3]

Control retrieval. The event went quite well.
Success all around. 22 participants. Next fall we'll do these regularly.

Setting the course at Hyland for Friday. Great park. Too bad the buckthorn is proliferating with a quickness, I had to move 4 CP's that were mapped as white areas because they are not in light or dark green terrain. Also, there are a few new trails of considerable size out there. We should do a map update.

Setting and vetting the course at Nine Mile Creek. There are some sneaky good woods here and there down in there. Cool place.

Cycling 40:00 [5]

Fridley Fright Crossniac CycloCross Race! Good times. Started off fast, probably 8th or so out of 50 into the first turn. Ended up 12th, my best result thus far. Hopefully I can crack the top 10 next weekend.
