OOF!
Started off well, conservative first 5k - which is downhill, Keren found me and we had the same goal time so we were on pace together until around 22/24k when we both went to the toilet/stretched and lost each other. I lost my rhythm at this point, and my knee got very uncomfortable. So I walked from 31-32k, and stopped and stretched a few times, with another walk somewhere between 35 & 37k. Realised I would get 3.25, so pushed through the knee/itb pain to the finish. Can't say I am keen to do another one again (at all or any time soon...) stoked with a 20min pb, and the awesome day sightseeing Tokyo. Was really cool to have my family and friends cheering, and mum & Lise even made me tear up at 41k!

Easy morning shake out with some strides. Its raining fairly decently, so I wasn't pumped, but thought I should remind my legs what running was like before tomorrow. Felt sluggish but no pain. Good thing I went out. Clear skies tomorrow please!

Last visit to the acupuncturist - very sad to say goodbye to Kawaguchi-san, we've developed quite the relationship. He even gifted me some beautiful fans!

Space Upper - Hard
Spinning by myself for the last time at Wired. Had a good hit out instead of running. Looking forward to doing spin on a bike with better set up. Although I do enjoy being in the dark with a digital instructor and not a person...

W/u with Mika-san from the sento through the park - lap and a half, then onto the track. Farewell as my last night at the track. Session was 6 x 1000m, which I did 4 a bit faster than marathon pace. Felt like I was jogging - happy days. 200m walk/plod recovery.

Lunchtime spin with Lise at Yurakucho. Really enjoyed it, and my leg felt great afterwards. Super cute man came up to shake hands afterwards, followed spin with a $20 dentist visit and an orchestra performance...
