Sailing race (Vago Helm) 40:00 [3]

Went sailing with jenny. Was very very very windy, so went out with just the mainsail. had the jib and spinnaker rigged but weren't even close to getting them out.
Was helming, and actually struggling to hold the mainsheet let alone pull it in. Got a bit scary at times but actually didn't capsize even once.

My calves are a bit tight especially the top of my right calf.

Had quite a good run, didn't make any major mistakes just a few hesitations. Not particularly spiking that many controls but the visibility meant that i got away with it this time. Need to work on my accurate bearings.
Felt really good physically at bits but then not so good at others. quite amused that zoe beat me by 3 seconds, not particularly annoyed cos it was so little. after looking at splits, she was ahead the whole way, and i was catching her up for the second part of the race mainly.
I've put my GPS on routegadget, the animation shows it with proper hesitations etc. If anyone's looking, mine's at the bottom cos its a GPS one.

Tennis coaching at caton
was really good. even if most of the group was 12 year old boys who were quite amusing.
was quite tiring playing against people who can hit it better than me.

In the rain. was very amusing, and quite hard work cos the raquet was awful and the balls were full of water.

Battleaxe 1 at Red Bank. Was really really hilly. my calves hurt alot at first, physically didnt' really get going until about 20mins had gone. made a couple of hesitation mistakes where i was in the right place but when it didn't look quite right i wasn't sure of myself.
Was lovely running by Rydell water (i think) at the end. apart from all the midges.

My hamstring and quad hurt by the left knee, so i didn't feel that i could really go to circuits and be able to do many of the exercises properly. Did quite a few stomachy and general core exercises that didnt require too much leg work instead.
