Orienteering race 1:52:15 [5] *** 6.9 km (16:16 / km) +180m 14:23 / km
spiked:17/21c shoes: Falcon

JK Day 2 at Cookworthy

First start which was actually an advantage for once because the ground hasn't turn in mud bath yet. Also not too many people around which is better for my poor concentration

Was OK until #10 (except a small offset at #4) Almost finding #5, #6, #7 TD3 and boring. Didn't follow my compass going down the forest and in the yellow and aimed for the wrong bit of green forest before realising the rest of the landscape was not matching the map. Then a long slog in the yellow to get back on track. (10 mins)

Then OK until #17 that I stupidly missed thinling it's only a 200m leg and chris Farr will be going there as she punched #16 5 sec in front of me. Except she was running W35L and not W21L ... Took a bit of time to relocate on the corner of the green. GPS shows I was too low at first and relocate on the wrong green. (5 min) Then my "flow" was cut and the last few controls were hard to run.

First run with my new GPS logger. Either it had precision problem with the rain or forest (but it sqys precision was good or great) or the map is seriously skewed

spiked:15/20c shoes: Salomon Trail

JK Sprint - M Open

Started in a shower but it stopped very soon and then I had some sun.
The ground was quite slippery with all the rain

no big error. not too clean to 5 and 7. then my advance planning was off . Almost too far for 9. lost 15 seconds at 12 then alright except not good flow
