Rogaine (Tiger Country) 10:00:00 [3] 35.0 km (17:09 / km)
shoes: Raichle Scout hiking boots

With Steve and our two good sets of lungs for competitive ear-worming and pop-culture referencing. And also rogaining, as a pleasant setting for same.

Route-planning took a very lazy backseat to wandering around, gossiping and attempting to be witty. I thought we had planned 8-ish km to town and then would probably do about another 10km or so. Wil advised me that I was incorrect before we started and lo, it was so.

Did not enjoy the heat even a little bit. It's 14-17 degrees celcius in Boston at the moment. Just saying.

Swimming (club) 1:00:00 [3]

Took the messy lane by the wall and pumped out laps. Totally zoned out and lost track of distance. Felt fantastic afterwards.

Received some strong 'encouragement' to move up to Lane 4. I foresee a number of sessions in my future that basically consist of sprinting until I pass out while trying to keep up with my lane-mates.

Keep trying to cruise, have to keep reminding self to back off. Still lots more cycling to do today.

Work to City West with a tRicky encounter along the way. He was held up at the lights, so I just kept waving at him until he recognised me. :-P

Meeting. Feels weird to have people finally kicking up about an issue I've pretty much abandoned. Feels weird to be considered the technical and legal expert on anything at all. Feels super-weird to be playing that role while wearing lycra and a frilly cardigan.

City West into West Perth - purchsing things, hugging people, general bonheur.

West Perth home - lower back starting to niggle around Guildford. Apart from that, felt really good. Didn't even wobble when a bogan leapt out of the bushes and screamed at me between Bayswater and Tonkin Hwy.

Swimming (club) 1:15:00 [3] 2.3 km (32:37 / km)

Felt good. Definitely weary by the end of the session and form fell apart pretty hard.

Took flippers for the kicking drills and did butterfly kick sprints. Fun! And also, wow upper abs killer. Also, no-one in my lane likes me for some reason, but really, they just need to be bossier (or even just suggest that they might want to do something different) if they don't want to do it my way.
