Ran the OK Orion long race. Should have done the open course because i was doing a long slow run.
I considered drawing 100 controls but just ran the course reading everything. Kept strong map contact.

Ok Orion middle distance - 4.8km. I was 3m14s down on Henrik Jansson of Hakarspojkarna.
It was basically a goalless day to see where i'm at technically since this is really the first proper orienteering race/training of the season.
Running into a barbwire fence, that hurt, actually saved me from falling off a crag onto dangerous rocks. Pretty lucky.
My biggest mistake was not seeing the first control flag even though i was at it. Jogged on 10/20meters, turned back to recheck and saw it a little better under the tree branch hiding it.
I missed the second flag by 5 seconds. Spiked all other controls. Little rust here and there.

Baby got back. My back is getting better but still at me. My body is still achey. I knocked against some trees tonight on the run and my body felt sensitive and painful. I was kind of grumpy too when it happened. I have this theory or question, 'is it possible for men to menstruate?'. My conclusion was that no, no they can not. But i certainly feel like i dodged a sickness. I had three sicknesses in France, i think i've reached my quota this winter.
Swedish painkillers suck balls too. Good thing i have Irish ones in the apartment.

I'm supposed to do a gym session at lunch. I'm skipping it in favour of eating in our work kitchen and then taking a nap after in the chill out room. Legs feel crap after a bad 5hours sleep and head is mucked up from excessive time on a computer yesterday. Pretty much all the time from 7.30am to 2am. Rest day my arse. And no matter how comfortable it feels in the first 20-30mins i'm not bringing my laptop into bed with me again as its a death trap, for the brain.
Plus my lower back is killing me today.

My back is in bits all day today. And my legs have finally relaxed out a good bit. But i'm going to take an unscheduled rest day just to nip this shitness in the bud so that the rest of the week goes ok. I took a nap for about 30mins after lunch but still felt really run down. I might do some extra running on Saturday.

My back is wrecked. I'm feeling some sickness coming on so i took some medicine.
