Run warm up/down 10:00 [3] 1.0 mi (10:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics2

Orienteer (S-F Green) 57:23 [3] 4.4 km (13:02 / km)
shoes: Icebug Spirit-L olx

Nice course at S-F Scout Ranch in Missouri.
Hit most of the controls pretty well; with one control which was definitely mis-read by me (and many others) and another minor slip-up or two.
My mind is fried right now, map tucked away in my suitcase, belly full from big meals with my folks, legs tired from 2 days orienteering with an out of shape body, and I honestly can't remember enough about the course right now to comment anything other than "great course".
I forgot to wear my GPS on Saturday (remembered on Sunday) but will post map and add leg comments once splits are loaded.
Early flight tomorrow and back to work.

Hike (Control retrieval+) 1:00:00 [3] 4.0 mi (15:00 / mi)
shoes: Asics2

Picked up five controls and hiked along the White route and adjoining hillside.

Run (FL) 32:00 [3] 3.5 mi (9:09 / mi)
shoes: Asics2

Despite the fact that made-up worlds and thrill rides are quite fun, we had enough of Universal and Orlando area. I was ready for something a bit more relaxing. Just to the northern edge of the Orland suburbs is Wekawi State Park and it turned out to be the perfect vacation from our vacation.

Very nice park with natural spring pool (large lake) with canoe and kayak rentals and great swimming.

Also... lots of running trails in the Florida woods, ranging from a couple of miles to 13 in length.
My younger daughter took off on a short hike by herself, then my older followed, and I followed later at a jog. We all did run into each other as our trails/speeds intersected and hiked for a while as a family, before all heading off on our own again. I think my younger daughter liked going ahead as "the explorer". Wish I could get them to orienteer!

W kids in Wekiwa State Park. Started running again when AT was getting sore from walking which seems to stretch it more.

Run 30:00 [3] 2.95 mi (10:10 / mi)

Spent the day walking around Universal Studios, focusing on Hogsmeade.

When we got back, I decided to take a quick run to the store to buy some essentials (Barnes and Noble for books, Publix for lunch meats, drinks, etc.). The store was farther than I realized so I decided to taxi cab it back.
