Walking 30:00 [3] 2.0 km (15:00 / km)

Up early agan and its the weekend, amazing! Not so hot this morning and the walk along the beach was a little bit breezy. Water was even colder than yesterday, people were laughing at me because I was squealing!!!!! Waves were too big didn't stay in long.

Walking 30:00 [3] 2.0 km (15:00 / km)

Walk along City Beach at 7.30 am - way early for me!!! Stinking hot at that time of the day. Then a dip in the ocean, only the second for the summer season for me, not a big fan of the sea. Was cold but enjoyable. Might go again tomorrow.

Walking 1:00:00 [3] 1.0 km (1:00:00 / km)

Look at the time taken and the amount of distance travelled looks reallybad, BUT, ten steps into exercise with mrrogaine around Tomato Lake we came across a swan fight. Was awful to see one swan bashing the crap out of the other so I intervened. They are very scary animals when they are fighting. The poor male one took a fair beating and initially I thought he was dead, but after calling Belmont Rangers (no luck there they had gone home) I called the Animal Rescue (through DEC) and they were going to send a volunteer around. Waited waited waited. Sent mrrogaine off by himself (yeah!!!) whilst I kept guard. I took a step closer to the poor thing to check on his welfare and it perked up and hissed at me so I knew it had a chance. It was suggested that we take it to a local vet but there was no way I was going to pick it up! Turns out when the Rescue people arrived she just picked it up and put it in a rescue box. Apparently swans don't bite in case you ever come across one, they just hiss. Was thanked for doing my bit to the poor thing, seems he was a fly in and the other male was protecting his territory. Would be cleaned and fed and released to another area to continue life.

After all that excitement mrrogaine still made me walk around the lake :(
