Orienteering 1:14:40 [4] 9.7 km (7:42 / km) +300m 6:40 / km
shoes: Helly Hansen Trailcutters

State Series at Hill Park Dale. The name sounded familiar and as we drove in I remembered it was the Oz Champs map from a few years ago. Good one too.
Started out a bit slow physically, not feeling the best and spent about a minute looking around the circle for 1. Noticed at this time I had forgotten to get some control descriptions - not optimal for such a technical area, I figured there wasnt going to be too many controls out so a mispunch chance would be minimal. The rest of the course was ok technically, just a bit of pfaffing around the circle at some controls, physically my legs felt really dead and heavy. Also no sign of calf problems which I am very pleased about.

A nice confidence building run, would have been nice to been a bit faster though.

The last week has been a bit crazy - Ava and Margo in hospital with real bad flu for the whole week, me on domestic duties at home with Will, with the most exercise being climbing up the ladder to go down the slide at the park with Will.

Ran today out to the beach and up to Trigg Bushland Reserve, then back via backstreets. Felt pretty awful, I seem to have something of a cold. Better than what Ava and Margo have had for the last week though.

Ava into hospital tomorrow for bone marrow biopsy to see if we can stop her getting sick all the time.
