Trail Running 40:00 [3]

4 times around the nav course with Red and Yellows tonight. Tried out new insoles in my innov8s to see if that helps with the foot pain.... Not sure. Lots of tenderness in lower legs. Frustrating.

Stretching 15:00 [3]

Hot tub to loosen muscles then lots of rolling and stretching to see if that elevates some of the pain.

Trail Running 26:00 [3] 4.3 km (6:03 / km)

Just ran the Spencer trail, needed to get a run in. Intervals. Speed was ok but legs felt tight, followed but some rolling.

Stretching 15:00 [3]

rolling, stretching, and some core.

Orienteering 1:06:33 [4] 8.08 km (8:14 / km)

Mob Match hosted by TOC - fun race, had a hard time deciding where to start so just picked a control and planned route from there. Two small mistakes, missed 52 and had to backtrack to it (only about 100 m) otherwise would have had yo make an unnecessary river crossing. The other was I did not plan for 3 controls because map was folded over them, again would have only made a small change to route choice and a small backtrack to get them. Fun course with a mix of open fields and nice open forest. Ended the day as top female (sometimes it is nice when all the juniors don't show up!) :)

Orienteering 40:00 [3]

Out at Rocky Ridge with Hammer, AG!, and the boys. Worked on using compass - slow pace but was pretty accurate with bearings.

Running 40:00 [3]

Nav coaching x4. Had a hard time finding the hidden eggs as people kept taking them, was able to get the kid motivated anyways. Easy pace with lots of stops all night. Looking forward to the weekend and being able to get some runs in.

Running 20:00 [3]

Setting the course for school AR team training (in the snow and hail).

Orienteering 1:24:00 [3] 10.4 km (8:05 / km)

Cambridge Adventure Race - a lot of fun on the course today, ran with Kris. Decided to start with the least popular route choice to break away from the group. Nav was not a problem, speed capabilities slowed us down. Surprised ourself in finishing the course early - great are, nice mix of urban and rural - SI and clues. Nice to see the cadets out again and so many unfamiliar faces! The Danish-duo killed the course today, second overall despite stopping for a lengthy bathroom break!

Stretching 15:00 [3]

Rolled out thighs (hammies) after hot tub, they were so sore and tight while running today!

Running 45:00 [3] 8.0 km (5:38 / km)

Ran over to trail centre to watch race (and home again). Congrats to all the DGL runners!

Orienteering 35:00 [3]

Running 40:00 [2]

4 loops of the ARK nav course with the little yellow and reds! Some of them always impress me with their skills for such a young age.... but they also drain me!

Orienteering (RTR) 1:59:20 [3]

Great race - was weary about the choose your own adventure format but actually loved it! Ran with Kris and Sylvie. Felt great with my nav, almost every control was bang on (except the third, we were about 20 meters to the east and could not see it due to the ridge). We tried to make up time on trails but stuck a slower pace in the forest in hopes to not re-injur. Just made it in time, 40 seconds to spare! Babying my foot seemed to help, a bit of swelling post race but foot is feeling much better next day! A lot of fun running - looking forward to racing more races with this format!

Did 7 of the checkpoints used for the HPP training, took it easy - wanted to see how foot did off trail. Pretty good so looking forward to tomorrow!

Running 45:00 [2]

Nav training for 2 hours with ARKers. Muddy, muddy trails and lots of lost shoes! Tonight was the test run for my foot - so far so good, hope it feels just as well tomorrow!
